Rainy Days

California can always use rain. When I first moved to the Northern Sacramento valley (from the California coast)  several decades ago, the water table was only about 30 feet below the surface. Any rain that can help to restore that groundwater, should be considered a blessing. These past few storms have been delivering precious water and only a few mud slides. Slow and steady rain is the best for the environment. In early December, we did have a small flood near the town of Durham. (also in the North Valley). There was not extensive damage. Working outside today won't be possible, so I'm going to work on final grades for my students.      Regards to all, Uncle Bill
